Recent Grants
We are excited to report on the following recent grant awards:

The Rotary Eclipse Glasses Fund proudly assisted with the Rotary Clubs of Wood County's project of equipping every student with glasses for the April 2024 eclipse. Thank you to everyone who supported this amazing project!

The Quitman Cemetery Fund awarded funds to purchase and plant 4 new trees.

The QISD Educational Fund awarded 6 grants to QISD teachers totaling $5634.79. Projects funded include: flexible seating, hi-lo book buckets, kindling a love for literacy, Lego education robotics, phonemic awareness, and the vital classroom library. We would love to see this Fund grow each year so please donate and help us help our children.

The Abreu Family Scholarship Fund awarded scholarships to two students for $1,000 each.

501(c)(3) organization dedicated to improving the lives of people and animals of all ages.
Its our mission to promote the general improvement of the Quitman Lake Country and surrounding area by improving quality of life and alleviating the effects of poverty and economic hardship through charitable relief and assistance.
You have several options when donating to the Foundation:
You have several options when donating to the Foundation:
Undesignated Donations are unrestricted funds that allow the Foundation to be responsive to changing community needs.
Donor Advised Funds are Foundation accounts established by a contribution from which the donor is able to recommend grants to other nonprofit organizations. This allows donors to make a charitable contribution in a specific year while spacing out grants over a period of years.
Donor Designated Funds are established by a contribution from a donor wishing to address a specific need. The Foundation will make disbursements as laid out in the donor designated fund agreement.
Non Profit Project Funds are used to support the charitable projects of other nonprofit organizations.
Scholarship Funds are for the benefit of worthy students.
The Foundation has several e​xisting funds that can receive a donation from anyone for any amount.
